Time after time the issue of trolls gets flagged up here and promises of action
Time after time we see a temporary improvement before PH descends back into the mire.
Time to wave the bans stick about again.

All that search link does is highlight how st PH's search function is.

Is there a specific thread that's twanged your strings?

Pretty much every thread in NP&E suffers to some degree, perhaps that is the point, it is supposed to be a honey pot for the trolls. Topics about EU/Corbyn/Labour/Climate Change/Crime/Travellers/Muslims/Cyclists are pretty much guaranteed to descend into abusive name calling by the same posters again and again.

There are plenty of posters that can disagree strongly, but still have a constructive discussion on the most contentious subjects, but they always withdraw when the trolling start. When called out they just get worse, reports typically go ignored for blatantly unconstructive name calling and outright trolling.

The search link was to show this is a recurring problem going back a long time, somebody kicks up a stink in here and we see a little bit of action for a while that tails off and it once again becomes a problem again after a while.

It seems PH is back at trolling peak and the question should have been How long before we see some action?
