My thread was deleted because it was 'pointless'

I don't really have an issue here as it was just a light hearted thread but a lot of threads on internet chat forums are fairly pointless, depending on your point of view. I posted it in the lounge as i thought that was the place for light hearted threads, it was just a bit of banter and certainly was not offensive to anybody.

If a bit of silliness in the lounge is no longer acceptable, maybe the posting rules should be updated
