Hounding someone just because you disagree with their views leads to very boring topics i for one am glad the mods are taking action.
.
As does repeatedly posting targeted inflammatory posts designed to add nothing to the topic, merely only to provoke..
Also refusing to acknowledge any challenge or question to the content of such posts as this too will cause confrontation, most of the time the challenge will remain ignored because the post was so deliberate in its provocation that no answer would be possible, a speciality that makes these posters stand out, I believe the term is trolling isn't it?
I too was banned the very next day on the same subject due to backing a troll into such a corner all they could do was run to the mods and claim hurt, frankly pathetic but I take it as a win myself as the troll had given up on challenging me, had nothing left so pressed the snowflake button.
Interesting that the same posters are continually posting this stuff over and over yet remain free to do it, maybe it increases site traffic?
Sad that the mods appear at times to support it, rule 4 on posting is clearly a rule of convenience..........
I'll serve my time in the corner and happily return to the vipers pit, however I expect I will be using the report button on a minute by minute basis when it comes to certain trolls and the multiple identities they so obviously use, obvious as they are not clever enough to try different posting styles and suddenly appear at random to back each other up, tragic.

Have you noticed that most of those banned in NP&E of late have been brexit supporters, i wonder why.

Simple, seems obvious to me now, it's site traffic.Keep the trolls from a losing side of a very provocative subject on the forum topic in order to repeatedly have a go at brexit voters. It's fodder really, the remain trolls lost, they know what to post to provoke arguments rather than discussion, again rule 4 seems to be a convenience.
As I said, I take my banning as a win over that particular troll as he had no answer to constant dismantling of his posts, reduced to pictures and crying in the playground as he didn't get the attention oxygen from me, he ignored all my reasonable responses to question his "views" until he felt he could silence the debate by removing any challenge to his views, all with out massive irony in a debate about democracy, you couldn't make it up...........

A simple review of the contributions from two posters in particular will see the technique exposed in all its glory. Continually posting responses that divert, ignore and insult points made by others, clip posts and remove context in order to make jibes and question other posters mental capabilities or moral standpoint as being deficient when compared to their own, apparently acceptable from the two trolls ( or one? ) but not from others, so , as I said, the report button will take a hammering until a balance is restored.
I expect the angry brexit thing will be trotted out. However I think my responses to reasoned posts are themselves reasoned, trolls however deserve all they get, shame some of them are spineless tell tales though eh

In tin foil hat land there is only one remain voter on PH, he/she has many different logins and some tin foil hatters suspect he/she is a Mod or he/she has special powers over the mods, hence Brexit supporters being banned.

..........However, for the balance of fairness to the Mods....having banned me for my exchanges with the "Troll/s" in question I subsequently, openly, reported the main protagonist for using the faux "R" card and he was similarly banned.
I should add I have only ever been banned once and likewise reported one post....both relate to the same person so perhaps the Mods, as difficult a job as they have in trying to herd cats, should look at the bigger picture before pressing the ban button in future.

My point about site traffic stands, its common sense to keep trolls so as to increase post count, therefore traffic flow, therefore revenue. My issue on that point would be keeping a balance, I expect to find trolls on here, however I think the attempts to keep it within reason when it comes to this topic and the subject of brexit is frankly woeful, it's a bit tragic that that's the conclusion I can come to after so long on Pistonheads, it that's how I see it.
I genuinely am interested in both sides of the brexit discussion and indeed at times argument, it's a massive subject for everyone, but it's beyond a joke when the level of trolling dominates the topic more than the issue itself, it appears to me and others that it's got to a point where trolling appears to be supported on here, that's a bit sad really.
All I see in the topic in question, and the subject in general, is a small group of very obvious and vocal remain trolls continually regurgitating the same things that they know will get anger as a prime reaction, the trick is how they post it more than the content, and that's what makes it trolling, it's not helpful, it doesn't add or expand the debate, instead it stalls things and turns every topic on the subject into a sociopath competition from the same few posters.
You can take my response how you like, I'd prefer to engage with posters on a subject who actually know what they are talking about, I'd like to discuss it, maybe understand things about a subject I didn't know, who knows, maybe even have my mind changed and an education gladly gained.
Sadly the contributions from the same posters time and time again don't do that, they deliberately don't. More often that not they simply repeat things that have already proven reactionary on other media so as to get a reaction to themselves over and above adding anything of any worth or intelligence, that's why they never answer any challenges to what they post as they have no idea what they are posting about, only that it gets a reaction.
Like I said, both sides of the coin do it but a couple from remain, in this instance, stand out a mile and are still posting.
But hey ho..........I'll chalk off another day in the pen.........

Nope, I get where you can think that, and for balance there are a fair few brexit posters up to the same tricks, thing is, it seems that the remain ones have more fuel to use, more cards to play to garner a reaction and the attention they need.

Did helicopter123 vote? I'm sure we would all like to know.
Hopefully Allanv will provide some evidence and put the matter to rest.

What are the multiple logins you claim he has?
Still waiting...Purplemoonlight has been accused of being me so I could be another login.
If you have ever agreed with Heli/PM or me you could be another login.
