When searching for an estate on your classifieds, I have to wade through SUV's.

This is because you have not bothered to put in a suv filter yet, get it done smile

Seems about right. I wonder if searching MPV also brings up 4x4s.

SUV and estate are not mutually exclusive. Plenty of SUVs are classified as estates by the manufacturer / dealer - e.g. The Range Rover Sport 5dr Estate.

Doesnt matter what the manufacturer specifies though does it?

A classifieds job is to please it's user, otherwise (like I did) they go back to autotrader!!

I had an Isuzu Big Horn (Trooper import) that was down as an estate.

Unsurprisingly, given the manufacturer designation, Autotrader has almost 200 Landrover estates up for sale, including range rovers, evoques and discoveries

Asking if it is an SUV or an estate is akin to asking if it is a car or a motor vehicle.
