New account banned?

On Wednesday I decided to create an account here on Pistonheads.

On Thursday I tried to make my first comment and found my account was already banned for 'spamming/trolling'. I thought this was a good trick for an account that had never made a single comment!

So I have had to create a new account and am using my first comment to find out what might have happened? Was it the VPN or something else?

The problem stem from your @mailinator.com email addy this isn't allowed on PH.

I would suggest you change your current email addy as this will also get disabled at some point by routine.

OK. I usually don't use a direct email address because I don't trust forum systems to hold those details.

It might be nice if this was actually mentioned somewhere - maybe, for example, doing what other people do and bouncing it at signup - along with any other email services you don't like. And giving a reason for banning that mentions this not a spurious 'trolling/spamming'.

Also maybe provide a way to actually change the email address?!

We used to have the ability to mail, actual accurate reasons for banning/refusal BUT that option is currently on the large to do list of function repairs.
