This website is as ridiculously slow and jittery as when dial up Internet was new ffs. It's literally unusable.

The fking forum seems to slow my whole phone down for a few seconds after getting fed up and leaving the site?!...

Yep, that's the way to get positive change. Outright piffle, unlikely possibilities and an aggrieved tone.

You've literally used it to type that.

Oh we haven't had one of these threads since the .........what.......... 5 so far this week?

Install an adblocker and Brave is the stock answer, of presumably if you install Brave it blocks the ads.

Simple.

Are you on android perchance? I've recently switched to a Huawei P20 Pro and the forums are really slow for me too. It was always fine on iPhone so I assume it's an issue with my phone.

This.

The sites rammed with bloaty add spam which without an ad blocker makes it almost literally in useable.

Sadly this. A few ads would be liveable, but the sheer volume and quality of them is ludicrous.

I'm not sure it's the ads? I've noticed on Android chrome that the forums take ages to become responsive. Often the links seem to be missmatched from the actual link text. For example I'll hit NP&E and get a sub forum several links up instead.

It even took about 10 seconds for this window I'm typing in right now to become responsive after visibly loading. It never used to be like this.

If you want a site crippled by ads go see trusted reviews. Awful.

Certainly, for windows 10 with ads the site is pedestrian, to be charitable. With an adblocker, perfectly useable. Dunno about android.

I block at the router level (as well as having an ad blocker within chrome on the PC) and the difference when browsing on the mobile between home and the in-laws (or on actual mobile data) is night and day, it is just unusable on the mobile without an ad blocker.

Apologies for the slow running we're experiencing at the moment, I'll keep you updated in this thread.

Thank you.
