Would someone like to have the basic courtesy of letting me know why a thread I started today was removed?

It couldn't have been much more innocuous, I've got a load of old car mags, ditch them or have they got any value to be worth selling?

You should have received an email?

Didn't happen.

Understandably though - it was the most innocuous post in the world, how could anyone possibly justify removing it?

It looks like your post was deemed to be an advert.
Maybe the email has gone to spam?

Well since it very clearly isn't an advert, would you mind putting it back please?

Thing is it must have been a PH member who reported your thread in the first place.

I just had a similar thread removed. The e-mail referred to rule 12g.

Where can I find 12g ?

I even stated that I was aware about the rules on adverts and didn't tell anybody what I was selling (other than they were books and magazines).

I suppose I could be flooded with random requests for copies of any magazine that was ever published in the English-speaking world - just on the off chance wink .

Thread still not reinstated.

Surely this isn't complicated?

Unless I've misread your original post, aren't you in breach of 12.b?

So that renders every Readers car thread into this bucket. I enjoy those sadly now all should be deleted.

I also enjoy the high mile threads again no more of those

I also enjoy the barge finder thread no more of those

How about the great car lease threads - yep same story they will be deleted.

I wonder when a what car thread starts no one should post about options - being worthless to the trade as that’s in breach and will be deleted.

Snowflake everywhere.

No more classic car threads or car bubble threads

Lastly shouldn’t “shed of the week” also be canned? Logically the valuation put on the cars is in breach.
