Mute user function?
Discussion
Apologies if this has been covered before, but I’d there (or can you implement) a mute user function?
There are a small number of obvious trolls, obnoxious posters, etc. and I’d dearly love to be able to simply mute posts from them, to save me having to scroll past their ramblings.
I’m not asking that they be banned/blocked, nor that their comments be hidden when quoted by others, simply that I could choose not to see their posts. Maybe it could last for up to a month at a time i.e. muting someone wouldn’t mean you’d never see posts from them again; I’m not trying to stifle honest debate.
I’m all for free speech - let them have their say - but I’m also all for being able to enjoy the forums without having to wade through posts by tiresome trolls...

Fair enough; anything that improves the user experience would be good.
Personally I’d rather just mute certain trolling users and live with the resulting disjointed thread (rather than disliking/downvoting their posts) but that’s purely personal preference. Just because I don’t want to see someone’s posts doesn’t mean everyone doesn’t and a like/dislike facility has the potential to be abused I fear.
Nonetheless, there’s more than one way to skin a cat, so hopefully the topic will be revisited and addressed at some stage.
