I have visited only a handful of times since the issues started just before Xmas?

Real pity. I am a Chrome fan and refuse to use another browser as the powers that be on this site can't be arsed to fix it.

Chrome user here who has no issues, do you use an ad blocker?

I use Safari with adblocker but have never had a problem with lag until just before Christmas. It is making this site almost unusable. Certainly a PITA to visit.

I have the same/similar issue, using Chrome on my android phone.

The forum loads, but then seems to freeze. If I press any of the topics there is a looooooong pause of nothingness (nothing to suggest it has even responded) and eventually it might load that topic. But if I scroll the page in between, when it eventually triggers the press it will be a totally different topic to the one I pressed.

I'm not using the site on mobile even half as much now as it's driving me mental. I wasn't going to mention it because things are rarely ever fixed on here and i figured it's probably my phone. But since you brought it up.....

Feel that it's probably worth mentioning for the numbers, I'm having exactly the same problems that you describe on my android phone

Have you cleared the browser cache? That seems to have fixed it for a lot of people, it did for me.

Spoke to soon, it's fked again. There must be something more fundamentally wrong with this site currently frown

It must be subtle!
I have laptop running chrome with Adblock plus.
IPhone running chrome and Adblock plus.
iPad running Brave.
Android phone running Brave.
Android tablet running Brave.

All are running fast and smooth, and have been for a long time!

iPhone here, same issue, cleared cache, no difference frown I'm bothering less with the forum as it's too painful, it's like going back in time 15 or more years.

Same here on android. Making this site virtually unusable.

It's to do with some JavaScript running that's blocking the main thread. I haven't had a chance to debug it yet.

You can fix it on Android by installing Firefox for Android and enabling tracking protection as it blocks whatever script is causing this from loading.
I stopped a debugger on it months ago and raised it a few times, in August for instance. It's simple to mitigate but there's no sign of any development happening wrt to fixing issues - I reported a Safari issue displaying the quote all image which could be fixed by changing the case of a single character several years ago and that hasn't been fixed so I imagine this one has decades to run.

Using Brave works a treat.
