PH Classifieds - why is "Pistonheads" a banned word?
Discussion
I put an ad up today (my first in about 8 years) and, despite it all being plain text and free of profanity I kept getting the message:
"please do not use HTML coding or swear words, links or email addresses"
I spent ages trying various versions of my text and eventually discovered the issue - I'd mentioned the car has a "Pistonheads sticker", I changed it to "PH sticker" and was able to submit the rest of my text, unchanged from my first attempt.
Are we not allowed to mention this wonderful place in our adverts on this wonderful place? Seems odd.

If you see the message "please do not use HTML coding or swear words, links or email addresses" this means you have either put one of the banned words in your description, or attempted to copy and paste it from another site. Whilst we know it can save time to copy and paste, it will leave coding in your advert which may prevent you from editing in the future.

Hi there,
PistonHeads is a banned word simply because we didn't wan't any adverts to state wrongly that they are affiliated with us! We don't physically sell cars ourself, so it was just to safe guard against misleading ads.
Obviously you weren't trying to mislead anyone, but unfortunately with the word not allowed in the description at all, even the innocent ads are subjected to the rule.
Cheers,
Jack
