Probably (and this is wild speculation) because a lot of that content is now either in one of his books or in Motorpunk magazine.

He may well have asked for all of his posts to be deleted (it is an option). When I used to work for PH, we got those requests every so often for various reasons.

Somebody posted in the Starting A Car Magazine thread that they'd received an email saying they were stopping the print mag. I didn't get the email, but was a subscriber. Later that day, The Crack Fox, and all his history disappeared.

I expressed concern at the time that I hoped there was nothing sinister behind the magazine folding, but the subsequent vanishing doesn't bode well.

I hope somebody can tell us all is well. One day, he was posting positive stuff about upcoming issues, and then the next day, suddenly, it all stopped.

From what I can gather the magazine was not financially viable, but they will be keeping the website.

I hope the stuff the had planned for future issues gets published on there.

Me too! Quite why his account and posts have all been binned is another question.

The mag didn't get enough re-subs to continue sadly.

Shame as his book was very chucklesome, and posts on here often entertaining.
Still you kind of get his point that posting his musings on free websites kind of goes against the business plan on charging for things which included those musings.

Correct, he requested that all of his posts be removed and his profile disabled.
