Hi,

I've had a thread deleted in the MX-5 section - apparently I broke rule 17f (no idea what that is as the Posting Rules link seems to be broken).

I assume it is something to do with selling in the forums. I have been out of the MX-5 scene for at least 8 years so it was merely a post to ask where the best place to advertise parts was these days. I didn't say what I had for sale, I didn't offer any parts for sale, I asked where would be a good place to sell them would be (and explained why I didn't fancy ebay).

If this really does contravene forum rules it's a pretty poor show that you can't ask for help on a car forum

(PS - might be worth fixing the Posting Rules link)

I genuinely didn't know it was an issue - it was just an honest question as I am sick of the stuff in the garage taking up space - sorry!

(Don't suppose anybody can recommend somewhere where I can go to ask where I can advertise some car parts for sale? )

Rule of posting No.17f is pretty clear and stats the following:-

17 Types of threads/posts that are not permitted in the forums:

"f. Where to advertise/sell, thinking of selling up threads."

As for a link to the rules of posting that is displayed on every thread at the bottom of the page.
