Classifieds - Image Upload Issue

Been trying to list my car in the classifieds section. Managed to upload the first image and even that took several minutes to do. eventually gave up on the second. Must have been in that 'uploading' spinning wheel state for well over an hour.

I've had some success selling on PH in the past, so wanted to give it a a go with this car. Rebooted laptop and shut all other programs down. Its been in the same uploading state for the last 15 minutes. Image size is 2.6Mb, so surely that can't be an issue

I don't need to tell you this, but this is pretty poor given the owners of the site. I've sent you a message via Instagram and not had a response either.



If its something that I am doing wrong. then I am happy to be corrected.

Have you tried reducing the image sizes ?

I can try that, but these were taken on a OnePlus 7T pro and they default to about 6Mb and I reduced them to about 2.6Mb which is pretty low.

I can try again, but I haven't seen an error message telling me the image sizes are too large which I would expect if they were.

I'm old skool - 2.6Mb isn't 'pretty low' in my book

Try shrinking them down to say 1024 x 768 (a couple of hundred kB) and giving that a go.

It'll show where the issue is, if nothing else.

Image shrinked down to 799Kb and its still doing it. This is on a different laptop as well. Been spinning away for 10 minutes now. May just give up and use Ebay classifieds instead.

Would be nice if someone was picking this up.

I can try an alternative browser and see what that does, but to be honest it should work on Chrome!

Managed to get the photos uploaded via Mobile, now the the payment gateway won't work!

Tried multiple cards all registered to my home address and it kept saying that details don't match. Addition of PayPal would have made it easier, but they don't have that either!

Getting a bit fed up now. Just sent Pistonheads an e-mail and another message via Instagram. Will brave the phone number this morning, but not expecting them to answer...
