Most AM are "sportscars" ..even by their own definition they are a sportscar manufacturer....although in recent years there are plans for "supercars" like the Valkyrie
...of course it depends on your definition...you also see some magazines calling Porsche 911s and Vantages "entry level supercars" and the word "hypercar" is used for what used to be high end supercars ......

because they dont make supercars. Simple! AM mostly make Grand Tourers and Sports cars. Although there isnt a strict definition of a supercar, it normally means mid engined, 2 seater, exotic and very fast. Think mclaren. Nothing AM does is a supercar until the new Vanquish or son of Valkyrie come out.
Because everyone in the supercar section knows that neither Astons (nor R8s if you really want to troll them) are supercars:
Not fast enough
Not expensive enough
Not exclusive enough
GTs etc are automatically disqualified
The presence of ‘non-qualifying” vehicles in the range renders Aston ineligible.
Candidly, I don’t think the owners on here can be bothered to argue the toss because it really doesn’t matter...

Must admit I have always thought of Aston's as "supercars", but I also don't loose any sleep over what section PH have put the marque...

Please tell me no! They can’t possibly be? Sports cars and Grand Touring Cars surely.
Reason being I don’t typically care much for supercars and feel I would look a right wally in one leave aside fitting in one in the first place!l
Then again being a child of the 80s the only “real” supercars are the F40, 959, XJ220, Diablo, EB110, all crowned off by the F1. After that they all seem a touch try hard, but what do I know? Hypercar? How naff! 😂
Someone confirm either way once and for all!

^^^^ This! I'm an Aston fan, always have been but they are not a 'supercar' manufacturer. Sports maybe but more GT cars and not supercar.LTP said:

1-77 not a supercar?
but not in 'supercar'. Astons for me are about 'class'. Always fought the British corner here, just being honest.Edited by macdeb on Friday 12th February 19:43
