Is there a way of clicking on a thread and having it default to the last part of the thread that you read, rather than the beginning?

You should be able to sort via my preferences, change Topic Display: from Ascending to Descending.

Thanks, but that just reverses the order of the thread.

On other forums, you click on a topic and it takes you to the last part you read.

So on a busy 100 pager that does 5-6 pages a day, are you supposed to just remember what page you're upto here?

Just click on the little icon at the end of the thread title and page numbers. That's always been there.

Only works on threads with more than 1 page.

The only solution I came up with was to select "watch thread" which will move topics to "my stuff".

Sorry - where do you mean?

In the forum view, where you see the list of threads, any thread with more than one page will have this icon to the right of the page numbers

When it works it will take you to where new posts begin.

As above though, it isn't very reliable.

Thanks! Just looked in the food section, and I only see it on 2 threads, despite there being loads of multi-page threads that I read regularly.

I wonder why such a big, popular forum like this doesn't have it working properly.

Little forums with 200 members can seemingly get this right pretty easily?

Weird, not for me!




Also, that button appear on threads I haven't even opened and just puts me at the last page - not relating to me looking in that thread at all.
