Forum Etiquette
Discussion
I'm still relatively new here at PH so I'd like to get some guidance on forum etiquette.
On another topic, BaronMcLaren opined that he doesn't need a lift for his F8 Spider. Being curious, I asked "How much is the lift option? And how much would it cost to replace the front splitter?", at which point two 488 owners chimed in with their view:
So, to summarize: I have zero relevant experience or first-hand knowledge, and (b) the chap ordering the car and two owners of similar cars are firmly of the opinion that a lift is completely unnecessary.
From observing other discussion on these forums, it's clear to me that the appropriate etiquette in this situation is for me to emphatically disagree with these three individuals. That goes without saying.
My question is this: Am I also expected to also denigrate their driving ability and/or declare that they are unworthy and undeserving of being Ferriari owners?
Can I get a ruling from the collective PH wisdom?

Lift completely unnecessary, in 3 years of use in car parks and odd cambers in my 488, never an issue...

My 488 has ... no lift.
Lift is totally unnecessary on both F8 and 488 and just adds cost, weight and complexity.
Important facts to note here: I do not, nor have I ever owned a Ferrari or, indeed, any car that can be optioned with a lift. Lift is totally unnecessary on both F8 and 488 and just adds cost, weight and complexity.

Forum etiquette dictates that after the most minor of disagreements with another member you must relentlessly seek revenge. This normally Takes the form of bumming their dog. If they don’t have a dog you buy them one. Then bum it.
These things take time to learn but good to see you are getting into the swing of things.

If you're doing it properly, you need to disregard all appropriate advice and flounce off after a few pages.
After repeatedly derailing from the thread title with your conspiracy theory that Ferrari is in league with the Speed Kills group to get really high speedbumps installed everywhereI’d also recommend that you inform them that Ferrari’s are crap anyway and should have bought an mx5. You having no actual experience of Ferrari ownership is a plus point, it’s commonly accepted that those with the least relevant experience should shout the loudest. Add in some CAPITALS to ensure you demonstrate how better than them you are
