Why was I banned?

Hi Mods,

I emailed the info email alias a week ago but got no reply so posting here as my ban has just ended.

I was banned last Monday and the email stated the reason as Bullying/abuse on the Covid Cure worse than disease thread. It would be good if someone could clarify the post that I made because for the life of me I cannot recall making any posts that could even remotely be described as abuse.

The strange thing was that I was offline from about 2pm till 4pm on Monday when the email was sent to me so I’m wondering if I was mistaken for another poster?

Hi Gary,

You should have received an automated response from the info@ mailbox, stating that we don't investigate individual moderation queries. Having said that, I can see that you received a suspension for teaming up with another member to bully someone else on the CV19 - Cure worse than the disease? (Vol 13) thread.

You may feel your comment may have been in jest, but bullying isn't something we treat lightly and we take pretty steep action against members that do it. My recommendation for future is if in doubt, don't post it.

Seems a little harsh - especially in light of some of the other posts on that thread - but I’m not bitter and will be more careful in future

The only reason I emailed was that the email I received advised emailing the info alias for more information.
