Sensible policy or Censorship?

As PistonHeads is first and foremost a motoring community, we only let engaged car enthusiasts within our community post in our News, Politics & Economics forum.

This forum is a content hub of news from around the world, with an incredible array of knowledge. Discussion here yields sensitive subjects, that many feel very passionately about and things can get pretty heated sometimes.

As a result, we only allow members to posts here who have been a member on PistonHeads for a minimum of a year and posted at least 1,000 times in our motoring forums, so that they're well used to our rules and how our forums operate.

Until then, you're more than welcome to read the content here and engage with other likeminded car enthusiasts in our motoring forums.

The 1000 posts is a little tough for us quieter one, but agree with the length of being a member.

It does help stop the annoying habit of posting threads in the entirely wrong section. Especially when the subject matter has been gone over time and time again.

It’s a privately run motoring forum so they can do what they like, seems sensible though. If I was them I would want to just delete NP&E and be done with it but I expect it drives decent traffic so commercially wouldn’t make sense to keep.
