New news articles not showing on PH homepage...

Anyone else having this problem?
I can't see today news articles on the main PH homepage...

The only reason I know there are some (news articles) are the comment threads in the forums where they are marked 'today'.

Oh and it's all fine now, all the articles are up-to-date.
I guess it was just a server having a tantrum!

I haven't seen an update on the front page for a week now.

If I navigate via the pistonheads button in the forum I get the updated page but not when initially opening the site.

The homepage has had all the caching removed (i.e. it updates instantly) and shouldn't be stored by any ISP so every visit should be the most current version. We also have sorted out any problems with the multiple servers having different version of the homepage with an instant sync for new news.

Sounds like something your end is holding on to a copy of the page and not refreshing it, what browser are you using?

Using Safari under OS X with all updates.
I can't be holding a particularly old cached version, this laptop was brand new on Saturday afternoon!

Just for info - getting exactly the same - bookmark has always worked no problem, but now stuck on Monday 21st - get up to dat eif I link through Pistonheads itself..

No, no, it was wrong!
On Monday I didn't get any updated news articles.
Then on Tuesday it seemed to 'pick them up' and it refreshed for the two days.

If that makes any kind of sense! I assume the above is as it should be?

I too am in 21st Sept Groundhog Day with the 458 video article at the top of my front page. At work lunchtime (PC with MS Exploder), at home in evening (iMac with Safari) or elsewhere (PC laptop with Firefox).

I just thought you were on holiday. Anything been going on in the news?

I tried it when I noticed your earlier post on this thread. All it does is make the screen go blank for a couple of secs then it's 21st Sept again.
I've not had to perform any funny computer handshakes in the last 6 or 7 years of reading PistonHeads, so why things are strange now I don't know. Did somebody do something to the set-up on 22nd Sept?

Edit: Update - now home and on the Mac and it's 1st October. Great! I've got a bit of news catch-up to do. Wonder if the time-field will be cleared around the office tomorrow.

At work (with PC & MS Explorer), it's still Groundhog Day when I open PistonHeads. However, when I try going to the news site via the PistonHeads hot-link in the Forum pages (as suggested by KB_S1 and caterhamnut above), I can see all the day's news. Great.

I did think it was wierd that nothing had happened since 21st Sep - I sort of stopped visiting for a while - glad I finally thought of looking on the "Website Feedback" forum to see if anybody else had the same problem.

I've no idea why it's started to behave like this, but now that I know a workaround, I'm happy I can get my PH fix. I'll just always go in via the forums.
