When you click a link in a post you don't go straight to the linked page - you go via a redirectingat.com page.

What data is that capturing? A log of pages PH links to and the traffic flow? Does it capture the PH member who clicks that link too and gather data on each users link-click preferences?

You can take the tinfoil hat off, it isn't about tracking and building a picture of you (we can do that in much more subtle ways!). It is something called skimlinks, which was explained very well by Stuart in a thread a couple of weeks ago:

If there's affiliate code that can be attached to the URL it will do so but it won't stop you reaching external sites, and shouldn't affect your browsing experience.

We've used it on other Haymarket sites without problems, and it helps to scrape a few coppers together to feed the PH towers electricity meter.
