How many stickies? Getting ridiculous

How many stickies does a forum have to have? 9 stickies apparently.

Come on, there is bound to be another way - needs a wiki to consolidate all older stickies into a single thread, but it would still be relatively easy to read if needed.

What does everyone else think?

Stumbling into the party late, often I ignore the stickies & click the what's new button, and the my stuff, to see what the burglars have posted in my name whilst I'm asleep, not drumk!
So stickie not always good

+1 (well, almost. I have the good sense not to post when bladdered )

I always jump straight to either My Stuff or What's New. Hardly ever go to the individual sub-forum sections.

We do watch the number of stickies carefully, but sometimes there are just lots of things which need sticking.
