Virus warning regarding this forum

Hi, on page three of the Lounge well page three at the time of posting) there is a post titled "MOVED: Scammer after my car - Shall we have some fun?!"

When I click on the subsequent link to the Moved page, my Avira antivirus kicks in and warns

Virus or unwanted program 'HTML/Spoofing.Gen [virus]'
detected in file 'C:\Documents and Settings\Home User\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\7ay9w9m5.default\Cache\E5854169d01.
Action performed: Delete file


This occurs every time I click on the link to the page. It does not happen when I click on any other links.

Can anyone shed any light on this. Is there a problem with this particular page or would it be more likely a problem affecting only my system.

I haven't responded to it yet...

If you're seeing the virus warning again, it's probably because of the "www.paypal.com.au,i" bit which your antivirus may be mistaking for a fake link to Paypal.com.

Thanks Branflakes, I've had quite a few virus warnings recently since trying to get rid of a Google redirect virus.

I've edited the broken link, do you still get a warning when you go to that page?

Hi, Mr Will.
I no longer get the warning when I visit the page, you seem to have sorted it.

I do however now get it when I visit this page. I assume that is because branflakes quoted the link from the previous page & my virus checker is picking that up.

It's just your virus checker being hyperactive then. May I enquire which one you are using?
