Scam ad in the classifieds

Hi all,

Just thought I would let you know, as I am sure many of you have already recognised, that there are many scams in the classifieds. I have been browsing for a replacement car for a while and have come across some which are surprisingly cheap. I have built up a list of these all and they range from Minis to Fiestas and Focuses. I have the most recent link here

The email I have received is word for word and goes along the line of the owner being married to an Italin in Italy and not being able to use the car. She claims (under various names from Irene to Melanie) that she will cover all delivery costs, which; in some cases would make the car worth £0 is such the price of sending a car across Europe.

Just look at the contact name..

See the 'Report to Administrator' link on the top right of the advert?

If you see a dodgy one, click that and it will alert the chap that monitors the classifieds and it will be dealt with.

On the top right of the ad is a link to 'report to administrator' - which basically does as it says on the tin

I'm surprised that the advert still seems to be there.

You can still see it, as it's directly linked above. It does not appear in the classifieds - so no-one will find it.
