Login again to see classifieds from dealers?

If I'm logged in to the forum; why when I follow a link to a dealer advert am I asked to log in again, but it's OK if it's a private ad?

I am guessing that this could be down to the differences between the four different URLs that can be used to access PH:

pistonheads.com
www.pistonhead.com
pistonheads.co.uk
www.pistonheads.co.uk

If you are on one of these URLs and someone links to an advert or a post on another URL then it will treat it like you are on a new site and the login won't be recognised and you have to login again.

(I know it is bad for Google etc, and should be unified, but there are numerous reasons why we haven't done this - primarily to get round blocklists in companies as the main reason)

This is the only reason I can think for you to be requested to login again when visiting other pages, but I may have the wrong end of the stick.

I've just looked at the classifieds again, and from the index page linked to a dealer ad.

Frustrated with the 'sign in to see' bit I clicked on the sign in link, and all it did was show a panel that said:
"Hello Paul Drawmer"

Something is stopping me seeing some dealers' adverts.


AND.... I just discovered what it is.
I had adsweep running.

So I can't see the ads without being shown something extra as well! Seems OK on private ads though.

Ho-hum.

Must be the tagging we use on dealer ads which is causing this to be picked up by the software. We will look into this some more to see if we can stop this happening.
