The youtube thread

Why are all other threads locked when they contain a youtube video. I know there are quite a few threads about youtube videos but it covers all sorts of things. Personally I don't like having them all in one thread, I rarely check it as I tend to read threads/contribute to them based on the title.

Personally I'd rather have the separate threads, is there any reason other than cutting down the amount of topics started per day for the single mammoth thread?

Sorry to disappoint but all Youtube clips are routinely closed and linked to the main Youtube sticky thread when seen, if we did not undertake this exercise the Lounge would at times be awash with Youtube clips as we have had in the past.

The YouTube consolidation sticky was IIRC a request from forum members.

Because there were so many threads, everyone was struggling to remember which thread had which clip. So IIRC it was agreed to consolidate into 1 thread

Never realised there were that many, guess the new sticky has taken up the bulk now as I only notice maybe one or two a day. Everyone must be getting used to it now
