Are the adverts linked?

Just posted a reply in GG with a link to Halfrauds crimp connectors.

Have been reading a thread here in the Lounge and noticed an advert for Halfrauds crimp connectors.

Is it just coincidence or some wonderful coding?

Keyword pickup, simples.

It'll be the ad network they are using. It comes up because you've looked at it on the Halfords website.

You'll likely notice it coming up on others site you visit in the next few days.

Had you looked at car wax, for example, then it would show you that.

Quite a few sites do it now, such as asos and camerabox.

That's what the Halfords one does as well.

I'd imagine it works well for the shops, but like you said, it's a bit disconcerting at first!

I didn't realise that the network had started doing this, but your diagnosis of how it works is correct!

IMHO anything that they can do to make the adverts more relevant is a good thing.

IMHO anything that they can do to make the adverts more relevant is a good thing.

I agree on the relevancy.

What I personally didn't realise until recently is that many networks don't base the ads served on what the current website is about, but what websites you have visited frequently.

So I was confused for example that travel related adverts showed on PH, but that was only because I had been on travel related sites the day before.
