Shooting/country pursuits forum

I know I have asked before, but frankly I don't want to go trawling through several thousand posts to try and find the original as I can't remember if I started the thread and/or what it was called.

So....Any sort of update on this? A section for country pursuits that so many of us enjoy
Shooting
Fishing
Guns
Rods
and everything to go with all that, especially as it is now coming up to summmer time and people will be getting out more and more and the subject of guns keeps cropping up and places to talk about fishing and the likes, it would be used more than sections such as "Lotus in the USA" 469 posts in there,

I dont mean to be funny but its been on the list for like a year, whilst I am grateful for this site and the work that goes into it, just there is a forum that covers everything that I am not interested in, and since the pie and piston has been disbanded there really is no where for me to talk about things i enjoy

Sorry if it takes a long time to get things done, there are only Me and Pete who work on the technical side of things here so a lot of the time the list is growing faster than we can cross things off it. We haven't forgotten and a review of the forums is something we do want to do, but at the moment other things keep getting in the way.

Shirely we can make room for the forum by dumping some of the 'deadwood' forums...like the TVR one





(seriously, Countryside/Shooting/Fishing forum would be a nice touch on here)

They could just merge the TVR section with the kit car section

Shirley it wouldn't take that much time to rename one of the less used/pointless forums like that Lotus one with 400 odd posts, rename it something zazzy like "The shooting room" delete or move all the posts, job done?

I think whilst it's a good idea the takers may be limited.
I use the guntrader website, though chat is limited.
I would though if one available contribute.

There have been a few threads recently about shooting and I suspect a forum dedicated to countryside pursuits would generate more discussion.

How about a trial period of say, 2 months, to see how popular it is?

I doubt popularity is an issue, look at the rooms on this forum which are an utter waste of time with next to no threads in them.

We are planning to have a review of the forums at some point in the future, seeing if we need to get rid of any of the old ones and what new ones we want to add.

Country Pursuits is on the list for consideration as part of this, but as we are flat out on other things it will be a while before we get chance to sit down and go through the list.

That could be the same place as the people who consistently post crap like "there are nasty people on ebay" and "I think I've just been ripped off on ebay".
