Owners’ Club discounts on PH?

I'm looking to buy a car-related product which would have appeal for fellow PHers.

The guy was offering discounts to Owner's Club - I would mean a better deal for PHers but it is advertising on his behalf.

What's the rules then - advise required please.

Happy to discuss with a mod off-line if better than the forums, if so just pm me.

Are you thinking to organise a group buy, or will he just offer the discount to anyone who turns up with a PistonHeads membership number?

Are you thinking to organise a group buy, or will he just offer the discount to anyone who turns up with a PistonHeads membership number?

I read it as a discount for all members but a phonecall confirmed it was more of a group buy.

If it was something niche, then a group buy in the appropriate marque specific forum would be acceptable, but I'm not keen on the idea of trying to organise a group buy in somewhere like general gassing where sheer numbers will just make it spiral rapidly out of control.

Probably best to either keep pushing for a proper members discount or just bite the bullet and pay the normal price.
