I was naughty in "The Lounge", can I appeal my ban?

I accept I posted a "quote triangle" and this was very naughty, and I have been banned


Can I appeal this on the grounds I was going to delete it afterwards, and have done?
Oh and it was only to show the newbie what NOT to do?

Or do I really have to suffer a week without being able to contribute to the lounge?? (Work is going to be really boring!)

If there is an appeal method, what is it?

Still think a warning for first offence, or just a 24 hour ban would be more suitable!

May I also suggest a limit on the forum that detects multiple levels of quotes and pops up saying "you have exceeded the quote limit, please amend your post"

Not difficult, prevents having to manually edit/ban people.

using the same method that replaces swear words with , add a number to a value !quotecount
then at the end, a simple if statment:
if !quotecount >= 8 'toomanyquotes.php' else 'postmessage.php'

Would reccomend PH Mods for jury service though

Edit: Looked through the Rules of Posting and Terms and conditions and it doesn't say anywhere I would get banned for 7 days for quoting excessively, Perhaps a "Manipulating the forum to affect the layout of the site, Including multiple quoting" would be a good amendment!

And before I get told off again for being Off Topic, I was giving feedback about a quote limiting system and asking if there was an appeal process for the ban..

Back to the topic, is there an appeal system? I really want to wipe my slate clean...

Emailing Garlick in a suitably apologetic manner is the traditional route of appeal, so you might want to give that a go.
