what is and isnt allowed ?

theres a car advertised on here and its basically a total dog.
the advert is so full of lies its untrue.

can i say something along the lines of
"insert type of car here" on the classifieds.
if anyone is interested then contact me by email first, as i have some extra information

ive seen people do similar to what ive just put above before, so im assuming thatd be allowed ?
i dont wanna get ripped off, and i dont want to see anyone else ripped off either.

my previous post about the car was deleted, so id just like to know what steps i am allowed to take to warn the members here.

There's an option to "Report to Administrator" on all classifieds. Probably best to start there?

i dont see the problem with that, it doesnt open anyone up to legal action (though tbh this isnt america, so legal action wouldnt occur anyways) and it informs potential buyers to issues not mentioned in the advert.

i dont wanna break the rules, but also of course dont want to see anyone have a wasted journey of get ripped off either.

cant post anything re this for a week now anyways.
as i got banned for 7 days from the relevant forum for posting earlier all i know about said car and thus breaking the rules (hence my asking what is allowed)

oh well c'est la vie.

actually a whole lot of posts were removed - on the grounds (afaik) of going off topic.

so yes i started a new thread which got deleted
i then posted a similar thing to my suggestion above - not naming anyone, not going into any details, simply suggesting that anyone interested in a blue ****** should maybe contact me as i have info the seller isnt giving out.
you yourself have said you felt a post along those lines was probably acceptable


im not disgruntled per se.
just a little confused as to the final post being removed when it (i think) didnt break any rules, didnt name any names or go into details and is in fact something ive seen done on many occasions on here without deletion or thread closing.

it is afterall an attempt to help people not waste time, effort and money on viewing something so different from how its described on its advert.


anyways its done and dusted now.
i just hope no one travels a long distance to view the car in question based on the description given.
