That is of course your opinion and you wave the stick as it were however a note saying "please do not post links to dodgy sites" can we please get back on topic would have sorted It IMHO of course.
No need to be so heavy handed, It was an interesting thread that should be up there and talked about that section of this forum is a lot quieter these days as it is.

I wasn't about at the time, so can't really comment on exactly on what went on. So you didnt see the thread yet you post on this anyway? Is that not a bit well strange?
The thread was not going off topic. Somebody said another forum was trying to locate the person and I asked for a link. Another perosn on here asked what that site is about there were a few more comments on that hardley the end of the world.However I can see why you would not want links to that place from here so completely understand why you woul dremove them just not the whole thread.
Those posts after I asked could have been deleted and the thread would still have made sense and no doubt have had quite a bit more contributions from other people commenting.

Not when it's my job to look after Website Feedback and respond as best I can. Neither the thread deletion or my comments are in anyway a personal slight against you, so I fail to see why you are taking such offence.
No offence here at all. I am just if the opinion that it was heavy handed to remove the entire thread. It wasnt even over one page yet. A general comment on how a thread can get out of hand was not really any incite to this specific thread deletion. You did not tell us anything new did you all threads can be judged on their merit.

It's on the BBC web site now http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warw... presumably that's not dodgy? Rich the link was not the vid clip it was a link to an admitadly well dodgy site.
(in fact one of the reasons I requested a direct link to the thread on there was because i didnt want to trawl around the site looking for it myself)
