Browsing the forums today I received the following warning from my browser (Google Chrome)

We have no connection to motorbase.com beyond when contributors embed images from it here (as described above).
I also know the guys behind motorbase reasonably well and I'd be very surprised if they were pushing out malware knowingly or deliberately. I'm not warranting the site, but I'd be surprised.
