my mum has a few properties let out in stoke on trent. she told me that at the bottom end of the market prices are going up and that lettings agents are short of stock.

Can't say prices are rising at the bottom end in Glasgow, but our agency is definitely short of stock.

If it's me you're talking about, it's just that I'm too busy trying to push Planning Applications through to be bothered with it at the moment. Typing this from the office with the prospect of another couple of hour's work before I head home for the weekend, and probably back in on Sunday, with a new member of staff starting on Monday, if that gives you an idea how slack we are at present.

...We're almost sold up on several of our sites, so we need to get a few more up and running soon, or we'll be down to marketing from 4 outlets instead of the dozen or so that would represent our optimum for the Region.

We did have the VIP marketing launch for one new site last Friday, but I forgot to invite you, Noel... sorry!

There is certainly a lot of action with regards to planning from the main housebuilders.

Times may be hard, but its certainly not all doom & gloom.

There was an issue recently that meant older threads stopped appearing on 'my stuff' when they were bumped. Or is that not what you all mean?

Why, because we don't invite Noel to our marketing launches?

I know his particular prand of cheery optimism is guaranteed to put a dampener on any social event, but I doubt he has that much influence on market optimism.

We sold three at that particular launch, by the way, and I know (because I overheard the conversation between the Sales Neg and the Sales Director) that we turned down a BTL investor who wanted too much of a discount on three more.

Tough times, eh?
