iPhone App???

PH- any plans for an app? I wonder if this would increase functionality over the present mobile site? Also, would this prevent/reduce the frequent "Sorry, an error has occurred" message?

There is a thread somewhere about this i think?, apparently it ain't going to happen as they would have to create an app for all the different mobile phone software thats out there (something like that :P ).
Its been agreed that for the moment that the mobile site is sufficient (when its working ).

The error message is due to the entire site (main site included) running slowly, so an app wouldn't fix that.

So apart from that, what else would you like an app to do?

Download the news articles into an offline browser format and be able to donwload a preset section of classifieds to browse when you're not able to get on the net would be good.

A car review database and perhaps some stats for cars would be brilliant too, something like average sale price, bhp, weight, ncap, length of time they're up before being sold etc.

I like the idea of being able to cache for offline use! Perhaps it could just sync articles for the last 7 days. Would give me something to do on the plane.
