I don't really understand these Walter Mitty types. I've known a few in real life and they're strange creatures. so desperate for acceptance that they make up taller and taller stories, digging themselves deeper. Even when they have obviously been caught out, they still lie through their teeth. You can give them chance after chance and they will do it time and again.
