Car art, automobilia?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if there's a specific topic in a section that I've overlooked that deals with Car art, automobilia etc?

I make clocks occasionally with an automotive theme, not on a commercial basis, more a hobby. I often scan this site to see if there's other petrolheads who lash things up out of the ordinary who wouldn't mind posting up some photos as an inspiration to others, or to stand back and take the barrage of criticism that they may richly deserve.

I like this idea. I draw the odd cartoon car/bike and I'd like some feedback and advice from some of the graphics type bods on here. Like you, I only do it as a hobby (I have a job I love!) but I can imagine it may get a bit 'adverty'!

I'm looking for a drawing tablet at the moment, and posted in the gadgets and geekery bit about them and had a couple of suggestions, but when I posted a cartoon in biker banter picture a day thread, I received loads of help!

Maybe an arts & crafts type forum where we can show off our creations and help and advise on creative stuff?

If you are trying to sell them then I'm afraid they will have to go in the classifieds, but if you are just looking to show them off you are welcome to post them where ever you feel is best.

I'm afraid a new forum is a no-go at the moment as there are not sufficient topics to fill one, but start posting and if it gets others doing the same we can reconsider.

O.K. I'll try a post in General Gassing and see what we get. I see your point about it looking 'adverty'. It's not my intention to sell these things, the first one is for a charity auction, next year, is that o.k? I'd like to get some feedback on which direction I should take the design of it.

I wouldn't mention the charity auction personally, just keep it to chat about what you are making.

I guess I just feel it's a bit "look at me" to start a thread specifically about a drawing I've done.

Especially 'cos everyone would say it's crap

I know there wouldn't be much in the way of posts though, so I get why you wouldn't want a specific art forum. Maybe someone should start a car related crafts thread
