Advanced search option????

Just used the advanced search option.

I stated i wanted anything 'referencing' the word 'DB7' in the thread title, and asked it to look in the 'Aston Martin' section....... It told me there are no thread (topic) titles that contain the word/phrase 'DB7' (i tried 'all/exact/any' options one by one) in the last 8 years!!!!

This blatantly isn't true....

You get the idea.............Now i/m off to trawl through a 195 pages of topics to hunt down DB7 info.

I genuinely do love this site though........... Fav' on the entire WWW!!!!!

At a guess - the PH search engine doesn't index anything shorter than 4 characters ? (to avoid annoying little words like "a" "an" "of" "the" "and" etc.)

Try the Google search instead.

The PH Search has a bug at the moment where it is only picking up words of more than 3 letters, rather than 3 letters or more like it is supposed to.

If you are searching for short words then the Google option is the way forward.

Is that a new bug, or is it still unfixed from March when you introduced the new search servers to fix all the search problems?

It is a bug which is caused by the new search servers, still unfixed because the search is not very high up our priority list at the moment.
