Mildly hacked off....

So bit peed off.... I posted an enquiry in GG to ask about what a potential valuation of a car might be. Now I have seen countless threads on the subject and to be perfectly frank I was not in anyway shape or form soliciting feedback on a sales basis I was looking for genuine opinions from the numerous folks in the trade who frequent the site as to whether or not it as a car constituted anything out of the ordinary and what would be a realistic pricing proposition for it, or more accurately was what I thought correct!

How is this advertising? Is this not a motoring forum for motoring folks who want the opinions of other motoring folks with different skills, expertise and opinions?

Also it is not like I am some random troll who put it up as a first post!!

I can understand the frustration, especially when you are genuinely trying to get a proper valuation for your car, but, this is also a tactic used by those that wish to advertise they have a car for sale.

This does lead us to having to treat every single one the same and not to distinguish between them, whether they are an obvious plug, a thinly veiled ad, or a genuine what's this worth.

Thus that is the rule that stands so we do not end up with loads and loads of adverts across the forums, as soon as we let one, then everyone points at it and says - well that one is allowed, why not mine?
