top dropdown menu broken

whatever you have done today, the top dropdown menu is broken.

(for ie6 anyway)

working fine yesterday, but now the bar dows not drop down, and the buttons are not clickable.

the link has been substituted by a #, hence not working.

There have been some changes but it's working fine here

What browser are you using and can you post a link to a page that it is happening to you on?

I'm on IE6 and the only one that's working is "What's New".

Are you using IE6 as well?

Don't know how to find out.

If I click the dropdowns in any thread or page it just add a # to the end of the address.

Same problem here, also on IE6 and can't upgrade as it's a work PC.

I am looking in to this at the moment, but as IE6 is now a decade old and no longer supported by Google, Facebook, Youtube and many other large sites, it really is time for those of you who can do so to upgrade to something better. Even if you cannot upgrade your IE version, see if you can run one of the alternatives such as Chrome or Firefox alongside for your normal web-browsing.

In the mean time, if you want a quick fix then try going to My Preferences and switching to the "Big Blue" skin. This will solve the problem, as well as looking better (IMHO)

Can't upgrade, can't install new software; these are typical restrictions in the corporate world. Otherwise I'd be running Firefox.

I've changed to big blue so all is good now anyway

I'm fully aware that a lot of you are only using IE because it is forced upon you, and I do feel sorry for you. Hopefully the few remaining IT departments still holding out will wake up to the realities soon and move forward.

in terms of ie6, yes i hate it, but unfortunately my IT dept is not likely to change this in the next year. the company probably has over 100,000 people all on ie6, so unfortunately though ie6 is rubbish, there is a fair sector out there reliant on it!

Slightly OT but being the techie bloke guru that you are, do you know if Chrome have fixed the uninstall 'bug' yet? I installed it a year or so ago and quite liked it but then thought I would try another browser too. On uninstalling Chrome I discovered it didn't do it very well and fooks various registry settings on it's way out (Googles little IT joke I guess) stopping you from accessing t'internet and other things.

As for the IE6 thing, we only went to XP a couple of years ago - it's all to do with security "robustness" apparently.

As with others, no choice but to use what is installed.
