iPhone/iPad log in problems

I've got a short cut to 'My Stuff' on the home screens of my iPhone and iPad, but now rather than remembering me, I have to log in. But, once logged in, it makes me log in again ad infinitum.

Have tried deleting cookies etc, but nowt seems to be working.

This happens from time to time, the solution is to go to the homepage, click "Members" and then log in from there.

That's the link that comes up when I tap on 'My Stuff' on my home page.

It will redirect you because you aren't logged in, need to know where it is trying to get to, not where it is ending up!

After logging in, it redirects me to mobile.pistonheads.com/

When I click on 'view full website' on the bottom it takes me back to the home page of normal PH.

But when I then click 'Forums'I'm then logged out again and back to square one.

Don't worry though, just wondered if there was a simple solution.

There is, but it depends exactly where you are. If you are logging in to the mobile site then you will not be logged in on the main site, and vice versa. This also applies to logging in to pistonheads.co.uk and then switching to pistonheads.com, or any other alternative URL.

Does that make sense?

Always log into the 'normal' site as I much prefer it on iOS to the mobile one. But then it switches between the two automatically.

Just did a 'hard' reset and seems to have fixed it.

Mine is also doing this - very annoying. Have used my Iphone shortcut to launch the full site for a year or three ie straight to 'mystuff'. Suddenly it needs me to login each time and often gets its knickers in a twist and forces me to log in again and again (seems to ping pong between mobile site and full fat).

Make sure you login using the members menu item (and not anything it automatically forwards you to). If you see the login screen, just click the members menu item anyway. Also if still having problems then clear the cookies on the iPhone (Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies (at the bottom))

Those should fix it so that it is back logged in all the time.

Those should fix it so that it is back logged in all the time.

Sadly that doesnt work either.... I will try again tonight though.

Just tried it and it didnt work :-(

I did the following:-
i) opened Safari (after clearing cookies)
ii) typed the login address above and logged in.
iii) Rather than press the 'return' link presented in p/heads (as this takes you to the mobile site and exits full fat) I typed in the mytopics.asp?h=0 address in the same 'window'.
iv) It took me back to login!
