Are PH planning an update to the forum software at all? Or is it a case of if its not broke don't fix it?

RSS feeds of what? PH already has a number..
Notification of replies happens for the OP, how many emails a day do you think PH would create if everyone could have notifications!? Besides, my stuff works nicely
Most people don't use complex formatting and the syntax isn't tricky, so is there really a need for a WYSIWYG editor?
and what sites do you suggest integrating with?

RSS of forum topics.
Lots of bigger forums than PH seem to cope with instant notifications.
A WYSIWYG editor is standard in the majority of other forums I use.
And integration, photo sharing sites mainly.

WYSIWYG editors on forums suck arse.

In the unlikely event that PH heeds that daft suggestion the most important thing will be to make sure that it can be disabled by means of a profile setting.

We have an RSS feed for every forum, why do you want one for specific topics?

Instant notifications is on the maybe list, IMO it wouldn't be very useful, the volume of posts PH generates would allow it to swamp your inbox in very little time, turning it into little more than spam. The "My Stuff" button is a better way of tracking topics you are interested in.

WYSIWYG editors tend to be more trouble than they are worth, especially if you are browsing using anything other than the typical PC but making the formatting a little more friendly to newbies is on the wish list.

As for integration with photo sites, what would you like to be able to do that you can't already?
