Why has the thread been removed? Rather frustrating going to catch up and finding the damn thing has been removed

The last time I read it the OP said he was going to ask for it to be removed and then start a new thread at some point.

Annoying thing with that is of course nobody will be subscribed to the new thread so will probably miss the update. Wish there was some way the mods could autosubscribe everybody from the old deleted thread to the new thread in the future... Or maybe "hide" the thread to be unhidden when it's updated.
