E-mail through profile

Sometimes when I send a mail through a members profile a copy gets sent to my mail address.
However, I've noticed I've not had replies from a few lately ( about selling/buying cars) and it's just dawned on me that I haven't received a copy of my original for those ones.Does that mean the mails never got to the reciprients?

Emails sent to forum members via their profiles (aka PMs) generate a copy to your email address too, emails sent to sellers via the classifieds do not.

If this doesn't describe what is happening when you are doing it then let me know.
