Hope this is the correct forum for this...

Not sure where this story fits in the usual PH editorial style, seems like a huge sidestep into Tabloidland to me?

That wouldn't necessarily be an issue if the article wasn't about a grade one theiving plonker (I'd like to use a more "pointed" word than plonker but I'm trying to give a measured bit of feedback)

He really doesn't sound like a PistonHead himself, the article (well pt1 of it) isn't really about cars, only in the sense that they are part of ill-gotten gains of criminal activity.

So he has/is serving his time at Her Majesty's pleasure and thats all well and good but I find it uncomfortable that PH are giving him a platform to air his "excuse", not something the victims of his crimes will get.

In Summary- I don't think it belongs here at least not proudly displayed on the front page.

IMVHO of course.

He's a repeat criminal and you're directly helping him to profit from his actions - Not good!

Agreed. I couldn't care less about this scum's opinion about the cars he bought with stolen money. He's a - even staling from charities - and shouldn't be given any room on this site.

Agreed. Compare this article to the thread started by 10 Pence Short.

His diary showed his remorse at what he did, the suffering and hardship it created and serves to put people off - this article almost seems to be glamorising it.

Is the follow up set to be an article on the Sintura?

Very, very poor judgement to run this.
I sincerely hope today's article will be the last.

He's not even a car guy...had no interest in cars until he had money..I'm not particularly offended but where's the connection? It's pure vanity on his behalf, I'd love to see what he really knows about cars.

I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt until I found out that he'd done it a second time, from a charity no less. To be honest this article would be more at home in a Sunday Suppliment than on PH.

I hope he hasn't been paid for the article...?

The more I read and think about this, the more disgusted I am.

Some tt with ridiculous delusions of grandeur amateurishly steals money and believes himself to be some kind of badass everyone will want to hear about.

And you publish it like this is some kind of automotive Heat magazine. Congratulations on the exclusive.

At what point does this article get upgraded from "Ruffled a few feathers" to "A bit misguided" before finally ending up at "Spectacular own goal"?
