As Phil says, we are not in the habit of freeing up old usernames. I've seen 100+ month members making their first post before now, but aside from the lurker factor there is the fact it has to be done manually and if we start doing it then we'll be inundated with requests and end up in a bit of a pickle.

All of my preferred choices were gone when registered so I ended up with this username.

Cockwomble was my first choice and you can imaging how upset I was when I found that was taken.
