Constant logging-out

Not so much on Chrome on the laptop, but constantly on chrome for iPhone and iPad.

Constantly on all devices. Brave browser on W7/10 and Android.

I was particularly impressed the other day to be logged out on clicking page 2 of 2 from page 1, and having non-default page length settings found myself on page 5 of 6.

Are you browsing in incognito mode on your mobile/tablet or using any ad blockers?

We don't support Brave as a browser I'm afraid.

Yes on chrome on the laptop, no on chrome on the iphone and ipad.

Doing it all the time for me too, IPadOS 14.4 and Safari. It’s driving me nuts, every time I look at something else then come back to PH I need to log in again,

Always been like this for me across multiple devices.

The 2 frustrating things about the site are having to login every 30 mins and going to the start of the thread rather than last position everytime

I still get this, too. On Win10 running Chrome, Brave, and Firefox; on Android running Chrome; and on iPadOS running Chrome and Safari.

Same here. Another forum I use uses Xenforo which is excellent. I guess a migration from these boards to something more modern is a non starter?

I think random logging-out issues have been happening on PH for as long as I've been using PH, which must be well over 10 years.

Every time the subject comes up admin seem to say 'we'll look into it' and then... nothing happens.

I probably get logged out and have to log in again about every week or two on average. Doesn't happen on any other forums, just PH.

Getting logged out every couple of hours at the moment, plus re agreeing the cookies policy… this is v annoying!

It's almost become muscle memory for me to tap "My Stuff" before going into the forums. That seems the only way for it not to log me out.

From my limited reading of the complaints, it seemed to be most prevalent for those who have blocked adverts & cookies...either due to being privacy-minded users using a privacy-focused browser, or those who'd manually tweaked their browser settings to block everything?

Same here. Normally just logs me straight in once I've tapped 'log in' but I have to put in my name and password about once a week.
