An idea/ Ignore topic

If we can't have a "block poster" option (shame) is it possible with a future update we could have an "ignore topic" option so we don't see something listed when we go to the "What's new "drop down list... a bit like when we contribute to a topic and have the option then of ignoring it via My Stuff.
There are some threads that I feel compelled to read just because of the sheer garbage from posters ( mainly in NPE), then wish i hadn't but always fall to tempation!

I agree. Tbh i use ph less because of the absolute state of npe

There's 10, maybe 20 max, users who need to be got rid of.

Not difficult.

We could even have a secret ballot to define them.

One vote each.

Isn’t it as simple as adding a post saying “ignoring” or something similar which would the allow you to do just that?

Yep. The % of their posts in past 30 days on NPE vs every other post would be alarmingly high.

I can’t see this being possible without replacing the software the forum is running on, and that would give a huge array of improvements.

I seem to recall that a big change is being worked on currently.
