Ads showing politicians or well known figures with their faces smashed up.
The link (when I pressed it at least) led to a fake BBC news page.

Ads are based on what your browsing habits and history. You'll probably get more crap now you've clicked on it.

Why on earth did you click on it, its obviously fake.

Maybe I'm not as sensitive as you but its not really offensive? It is obviously fake and stupid though.

PH don't generally control what ads you see.

Do you really think pictures of famous people with their faces badly disfigured isn’t offensive?

To be honest, it doesn't bother me in the slightest. If you find it offensive then you find it offensive, that's no criticism of me or of you.

These types of ads are stupid and I'm not sure what they are trying to achieve, presumably spam clicks to find targets for more crap.

To help with the betterment of the site. Unlike your comments.

Holding advertising to account, and the sites that feed them through is worthy of a report.

Especially in the current age of misinformation.
I am not being unhelpful, clicking on spam types ads is not a great idea. By all means report them to PH, but clicking on them isn't reporting them or helping the betterment of the site, it is likely to generate more crap for whoever clicks on them.

I am slightly offended. It is stupid and quite immature. Try Brave browser.

Wow, any particular reason you're being aggressive? I posted that thread because it had a response from a PH staff member and I assumed you would find it useful.

Just go back and check your attitude to this thread from the beginning.
I’ve informed the PH crew. I’m out.

Ok, not sure what was offensive about my first post. I just questioned why you clicked on an obviously fake advert, setting aside the fact you found it offensive which begs the question why click, it is pretty good advice not to click on spam. Anyway, it certainly wasn't intended to be offensive, apologies if you read it that way.

This is the response from Ben the last time these ads appeared:

Thank you for reporting these - please right click and copy the URL on any of these dodgy ads (just don't click on the ad itself) and I will share with our ad team to block them.
This is still valid, if anyone is able to post the url then PH can implement a block.
