If I want to search for something on here, I do a Google search "pistonheads {what I want to search for}"

It doesn't seem to matter much, the forum seems largely unsearchable and whether you find what you're looking for down to pot luck. I've searched for posts I made and they don't appear, the only means of finding them is laboriously wading through my posting history.

Funny as I wondered where it had gone too.

Coincided with downloading the App. Deleted App but still no search short cut.

Not on the website or the app (which is understandable as the app is currently just the website). It's disappeared from the menu.

It's where it's always been for me, left hand end at the right side of the tool bar.

Sorry it wasn't clear what device you're using but as others have said, rotate your phone to landscape for it to appear on mobile.

I thought that was a joke .... anyway,no,it doesn't appear, I'm using a Samsung btw.
Surely,in this day and age it should be expected that all websites work the same on all platforms and devices
Right, I'm using opera and that has a 1 touch button to switch from mobile to desktop so I can see search now when I switch to desktop

Presumably will depend on the pixel height of the phone in question? Might work for most, but might well not for all users.
