I don't think you can on mobile (either via browswer or the app), however if you are using Chrome, you can set it to desktop mode to get the search button.

It's missing from the mobile view and requesting the desktop site doesn't work for everyone.

From the explanations I've seen before, it'll get added into the mobile app once they rewrite that as it's currently just a wrapper of the normal web view. Why it was missed off in the first place is strange - it used to be there until they updated the look - but I can cope with it using a bookmarked linked.

It is in fact only an embedded site specific Google search anyway, so the same thing can be achieved on the normal Google website.
